Soil composition: Medium mixture tending to be calcareous-clayey in layers. Microclimatic conditions varying from the foothills of the Majella mountain, to the sweet hills on the high side of the Adriatic Coast.
Altitude: 120-270 m. above sea level.
Exposure: South, South-East.
Cultivation system: Runner system and Abruzzo trellis.
Density of plants/ha: average density 3500
Yield (hectolitres per hectar): 65
Harvesting period: First and second ten-day period of October.
Vinification: Grapes are gently pressed, the must stays in contact with the skins for a short period, then it is vinified with pure fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Refinement: In stainless steel tanks.
Colour: Intense cherry red.
Bouquet: Intense, with cherry, strawberry and petunia hints standing out from other its fruity scents.
Taste: Balanced, harmonic, fresh and persistent.
Alcohol content: 12,5% Vol
Serving temperature: 12/14°C
Food pairing: Main courses and white meat, ideal with fish soups,
half seasoned cheeses, pizza.
Excellent with shellfish: shrimps with "Catalana" sauce.
