The Abruzzo region is one of Europe’s lushest, and it is here, in its very heart, surrounded by the vineyards and olive groves that help to make the valleys so aromatic, in the vicinity of a medieval castle, that the Citra Winery is based.

Mount Maiella casts a maternal gaze over the villages below, and farther off towards the horizon, the Gran Sasso mountain range stands out against the sky, while over to the east you can glimpse the twinkling of the blue Adriatic.
